지난 8월 15일, 날씨가 좋아서 저도 외출을 해보았습니다.

이번에는 '아름다운 도시숲 50선'에 하나로 선정된 중앙공원으로 향했습니다.

중앙공원은 부산에서 가장 아름다운 공간 중 하나이며, 높지 않아 편안하게 산책하실 수 있습니다.

다만, 공원이 정말 넓어서 사진 몇 장으로 다 보여드리기는 어렵네요:)

On August 15th, the weather was so nice that I decided to go out.

This time, I headed to Jungang Park, which has been selected as one of the "50 Best City Paths"

Jungang Park is one of the most beautiful spots in Busan, and since it’s not very steep, you can enjoy a comfortable stroll.

However, the park is so vast that it’s hard to capture its beauty in just a few photos. :)

일반 공원과 달리, 중앙공원은 여러 개의 공원으로 이뤄져 있습니다.

그 안에 조각공원, 민주공원 등이 있으며 다양한 시설도 갖추어져 있습니다.

공원 전체를 둘러보시려면 하루를 투자하셔야 할 것 같습니다.

주변에 편의점 등이 많지 않아서 생수와 간단한 간식을 챙겨 오시는 것이 좋을 것 같습니다.

물론, 민주항쟁 기념관에는 식당과 간단한 물, 간식을 판매하는 매점이 있습니다. 조각공원 주변에는 자동 판매기도 보입니다.

Unlike regular parks, Central Park is expansive and includes the Sculpture Park, Democracy Park, and various other facilities.

To fully explore the park, I think you would need to dedicate a full day.

Since there aren't many convenience stores nearby, it might be a good idea to bring some water and light snacks with you.

Of course, there is a restaurant and a small snack shop at the Democracy Uprising Memorial Hall.

You can also find vending machines near the Sculpture Park.

공원에 도착하시면 가장 먼저 눈에 띄는 것이 충혼탑일 것입니다. 이 탑이 중앙공원의 핵심 부분이라고 생각합니다.

​

저도 이 탑의 의미를 찾아보았는데, 대한민국 정부 수립이후 나라와 겨레를 위해 싸우신 부산출신 국군장병과 경찰관, 애국전몰 용사들의 영령을 모신 위령탑이라고 합니다.

​

탑에 올라가기 조금 어렵다고 느끼신다면, 엘리베이터를 이용해 시원하게 올라가실 수 있습니다.

충혼탑에 올라가시면 동상과 태극기 외에도 아름다운 부산의 일부를 높은 곳에서 감상하실 수 있습니다.

When you arrive at the park, the first thing that will catch your eye is the Memorial Tower. I believe this tower is the central part of Jungang Park.

​

I looked up the significance of this tower, and it is a memorial dedicated to the spirits of the soldiers, police officers, and patriotic heroes from Busan who fought for the nation after the establishment of the Republic of Korea.

If you find it a bit challenging to climb up the tower, there is an elevator available for a comfortable ascent.

Once at the top of the Memorial Tower, you can enjoy a view of beautiful parts of Busan from above, along with the statues and the Taegeukgi. (the South Korean flag)

충혼탑에서 조금 내려오시면 공원의 남은 부분을 구경하실 수 있습니다.

특히광장 쪽에서 노인분들이 모여 계신 모습을 보면 특별한 느낌이 듭니다.

저처럼 해당 장소의 역사에 대해 잘 모르는 사람들은 그분들로부터 많은 정보를 얻을 수 있겠다는 생각이 드네요.

4.19 광장은 휴식하기에 가장 좋지 않을까 합니다.

낮에는 매미들이 열심히 울어서 조금시끄러울 수 있지만, 그 외에는 다 좋았습니다.

If you walk down a bit from the Chunghon Tower, you can explore the rest of the park.

In particular, seeing the elderly gathered around the plaza gives a special feeling.

For someone like me who doesn’t know much about the history of this place, I thought it

would be a great opportunity to learn a lot from them.

The 4.19 Plaza is probably the best spot to relax. It can be a bit noisy during the day

because of the cicadas working hard, but other than that, everything was great.

대한민국의 역사와 아름다운 풍경을 함께 감상할 수 있는 중앙공원을 방문하시는 것을 추천드립니다.

Also, don’t miss out on visiting the Busan Independence Memorial Hall, the Citizens Central

Library, and the Memorial Hall of the Democratic Uprising, which are all located in the same area
